Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and IPTV Commons (“we”, “us”) for using this website. By creating an account, or by using the site without one, you agree to them. Please read them with the community rules and the Privacy Policy.

Last updated 25 October 2026

In short: IPTV Commons is a forum about the technical side of IPTV: devices, apps, players and setup. You must be 18 or over to join. Talk about the tech, never the services: no selling, no adverts, no sharing playlists or logins, nothing illegal. Posts are screened automatically and by moderators. You can report anything that breaks the rules, and appeal any decision we make about you or your posts, on the contact page.

01Who we are and how to reach us

IPTV Commons is an independent, community-run forum. The quickest way to reach us about anything, including legal notices, is the contact page: every message there is logged and answered by staff.

02Who can use the site

  • Anyone can read public parts of the forum. To post, react, message or report you need an account.
  • You must be 18 or over to create an account. When you sign up you confirm this. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we'll close it.
  • One account per person. Don't share your account or use someone else's. You can't open a new account to get around a suspension or ban.
  • Keep your password safe and turn on two-step sign-in if you can (Account › Password & devices). You're responsible for what happens under your account; tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.

03What you can and can't post

The community rules are part of these terms. In particular, you must not post, send or link to:

  • anything about IPTV services, providers or resellers: naming, recommending, reviewing, asking for or selling them;
  • adverts or offers of any kind, including “loaded” devices, subscriptions, credits or panels, and contact-me posts that take deals elsewhere;
  • playlists, M3U links, Xtream codes, portal URLs, MAC addresses, logins, or anything else that gives access to paid content without paying for it;
  • content that infringes copyright or other rights (see the copyright page);
  • illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, threats, harassment or stalking, hate offences, fraud and scams, encouraging self-harm or suicide, intimate images shared without consent, and anything that promotes or helps commit a crime;
  • someone else's personal information without their permission, malware, or attempts to break, overload or get round the site's security, screening or limits (including automated scraping or account creation).

Private messages follow the same rules, even though we can't read them.

04Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting it you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, format and distribute it on the site (including in search results, previews and guides that link to your post) for as long as it stays on the site, and for a reasonable time afterwards in backups. You confirm you have the right to post it.

Posts are public to whoever can see the category they're in. Your username, profile and posts may be visible to visitors; your email address never is. Free members see other members' names anonymised in threads.

You can edit or delete your own posts. Deleted posts disappear from the site straight away; we keep a hidden copy for moderation and legal reasons as described in the Privacy Policy.

05How we moderate

We use both automated tools and human moderators to keep the forum within these terms:

  • Automated screening. Every thread title, post, edit and profile is checked by software when you submit it. It looks for things like playlist and login formats, prices and sales language, contact details used to take deals elsewhere, link shorteners and words or phrases that staff have listed. Depending on the score, a post is published, held for a moderator to review, or blocked with a reason shown to you. New members' links are held until they've taken part for a while.
  • Private messages are checked the same way, but in your own browser before they're encrypted and sent. We never see the text.
  • Moderators review held posts and reports, and may edit, move, lock, hold or remove content, and warn, suspend or ban accounts that break these terms. We tell you when we remove your content or sanction your account, and why, in your notifications.

We remove illegal content as soon as we become aware of it, and may report it to the police or other authorities where the law requires or allows.

06Reporting content

  • Members: use Report in the ⋯ menu on any post, choosing “Illegal content” where it applies. In private messages, use Report in the conversation; you can attach screenshots, because we can't read the messages themselves.
  • Anyone, member or not: use the contact page to report illegal content, or the copyright page for copyright notices.
  • We review reports of illegal content first, aiming to act within 2 working days. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999 before anything else.

07Complaints and appeals

If you think we got something wrong, tell us. You can:

  • appeal a decision about your content or account: a removed or held post, a warning, a suspension or a ban (banned members can use the contact page without signing in);
  • complain that we haven't dealt with a report properly, that our screening or moderation is being applied wrongly, or that we aren't following these terms.

Use the contact page and choose “Appeal” or “Complaint”; you can also open it from the moderation notice in your notifications. Say what the decision was and why you think it was wrong. A different member of staff from the one who made the decision will look at it where possible. We aim to reply within 7 days, telling you what we decided and why. If we uphold an appeal, we'll restore your content or lift the sanction.

Using these routes doesn't affect any other legal rights you have.

08Private messages

Private messages are end-to-end encrypted: they're encrypted in your browser with keys that only you and the other member hold, and nobody at IPTV Commons can read them, including when they're reported. If you forget your password, older messages can't be recovered. We can still see who messaged whom and when, and we act on reports using what the reporter tells us and any screenshots they share. Some message features depend on your membership tier and on verifying your email address.

09Paid memberships

Membership tiers add features such as more new conversations a day, a badge, members-only forums, richer formatting and seeing members' names. What each tier includes and costs is shown on the membership page and at checkout. A membership never changes these terms or the community rules: no tier allows selling, advertising or sharing services.

  • Memberships last for the period shown when you buy them. Prices include any taxes that apply.
  • Because membership features start as soon as you pay, you agree they begin straight away, and you acknowledge that you lose the usual 14-day right to cancel once they have started. This doesn't affect your rights if the service isn't as described.
  • If we suspend or ban your account for breaking these terms, you won't get a refund for the time left. If we close the site or remove a paid feature, we'll refund the unused part of your membership.

10Advertising

Some pages show adverts, always labelled Sponsored. We only accept adverts for legitimate devices, software, accessories and licensed services, never IPTV services or resellers. Clicking an advert takes you to the advertiser's own site, which has its own terms and privacy policy.

11Ending your account

You can stop using the site at any time and ask us to delete your account through the contact page. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law, or that put other members or the site at risk, and we'll tell you why unless the law or someone's safety prevents it. You can appeal as described above.

12Our responsibility to you

  • Posts are written by members and are their own views. Advice on the forum is shared in good faith by other members and may be wrong: check it before you rely on it, especially before changing devices, networks or settings.
  • We provide the site “as is” and can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or stop features.
  • We aren't responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, for business losses, or for content on other sites we link to. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

13Changes and the law

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll ask signed-in members to agree to the new version before they carry on; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, but if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings there.
